Archive for 'external video card'

I am looking into getting a small tv or pc monitor for my bedroom. I would like to find one with USB ports but since I have had no luck, I am looking at external video cards. Like this one, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PSVBFY.

Would an external video card allow me to view my videos from my external hard drive onto a tv or pc monitor? Or are they strictly for dual monitors?
90% of my movies are digital, and we watch them through the USB ports on our 360 on our main tv.

Any other ideas on how I could get this work would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Your link is dead.

BUT…. here are some external video cards. They will do what you want to do also.

Good luck.

“When looking for a mid-tower ATX case there are a few key features you want to look for. Make sure it has excellent air circulation, which this case does because it has one 120mm fan at the front, another at the back and two more optional 120mm fans can be installed on the left side panel. Be sure the case has enough drive bays, which this case does. It can be configured with 4×5.25″ drive bays, 1×3.5″ external, and 4×2.5″ internal drive bays or an alternate 9×5.25″ drive bay setup. Also, be sure that the case will fit the current long video card and this case does. The SilverStone KL02 Case is loaded with features and it’s very affordable. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.” ~3dGameMan.com
