Can anyone tell me first hand what they think of the ATI 5570, I am interested in a middle range video card that doesnt cost over $100AUS.

It’s not bad, just a little overpriced for the performance it offers.
The 5570 has pretty much identical performance the Radeon 4670 but consumes less power.

It’s a great choice for systems with weak power supplies in the 250-300W range. For many slimline computers with proprietary psus it’s the best card they can run, period.
However there are better values than the 5570 out there. The DX11 support is really useless on cards at this performance level. An equally fast Radeon 4670 costs about $15 less, and for the same price you can get the faster GT240, which only requires a 300W psu.

Some models of the Radeon 5670 and GeForce 9800GT are also available for just $10 more than a 5570. Those are much better choices under $100 mark provided you’ve got a 400W power supply.

And if you can go slightly over $100, the Radeon 4850 and GTS 250 are much better.
